Resident Evil DS New Details

The latest issue of Nintendo Dream, a Japanese gaming publication, has revealed new details regarding the upcoming Resident Evil DS game from Capcom.

The game will include several new features which utilize the hardware of the portable and distinguish the game from its predecessors.

We had previously reported on the first person knife battles and microphone use in this story, and we can now confirm some other details of the game.

Resident Evil DS will utilize the bottom screen of the portable to display the majority of the title’s action. The top screen will be used to display a map of the area, as well as to indicate the health of the game’s characters.

The background color of the upper screen will reflect the current status of your character. If the screen is red for instance, this will be an indication to use one of the game’s green herbs to recover health.

Fans of the series will immediately recognize the new heatlh display as it corresponds to that of the previous games in the series. Green represents good health, yellow moderate, and red poor.

In addition, a multiplayer mode has been confirmed for the game. While not much is known, we can say for sure that a game mode will be present where up to four users can play together. Capcom has yet to comment on the style and theme of this mode, so stick with us as more on this game develops. saaaYour text to link…
