2K Games has recently announced an agreement with Sony Pictures Consumer Products which will give the publishing company the rights to produce current generation games based of The Da Vinci Code.
The forthcoming title is set to be made available for the Playstation 2, Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube; the game will be reflective of Ron Howards upcoming feature film based off Dan Brown’s popular novel.
“We are thrilled to work with Sony Pictures on one of its most anticipated film properties,” said Christoph Hartmann, Managing Director at 2K Games. “The Da Vinci Code is exactly the type of high-calibre licensed property 2K Games looks for when developing movie-based games.”
Developed by The Collective, and off shoot development team of Foundation 9 Entertainment, The Da Vinci Code is set to release in May 2006.
