Interview: Design Director Karl Roelofs is breathing new life into Shadowgate

If you’re anything like me, you played Shadowgate back on the Nintendo Entertainment System back in 1989. Hell, you could have even played it earlier. Shadowgate has  been around for 25 years now, and people like Zojoi’s Design Director Karl Roelofs are still working extremely hard keeping the franchise alive. I got the opportunity to interview him about the new successfully Kickstarted and Steam Greenlit Shadowgate. Pre-order now for a discount and get ready to relive the nostalgia of your youth!

In this interview we go over the essence of Shadowgate, the inspirations, the originals, the Kickstarter process, the upcoming rendition, the music, the translations, the possibility of DLC and ports. Speaking of music, who can forget that entryway music – it instantly brings you back. The music and THIS guy of course:

“It’s a good thing that your adventures have continued here!!”
