    Update
The latest round of hardware numbers has finally arrived, and once again, the current generation handheld systems have dominated the Japanese sales charts. Despite the rampant shortages of the Nintendo DS, the system and its corresponding games have continued to sell very impressively. However, for the second week in a row, Sony’s hardware intense, Playstation Portable has taken the edge over Nintendo’s innovative handheld device. However, it is still hard to judge the current level of Japanese interest in either device given the shortages of Nintendo’s product.

Nintendo’s latest product, the DS is sure to once again fill store shelves in the coming weeks. In the mean time, be sure to stick with AMN for a continued look at the Japanese gaming industry.

    Original Story
The virtual domination of the top ten by the Nintendo DS has once again continued in the face of wide-spread system shortages throughout the country of Japan. Throughout the country, retailers have been seen raising the price considerably, with some even retailing the product a higher price than Sony’s Playstation Portable. Brain Training 2 has once again stayed atop the charts, as the title piled on almost one hundred and fifty thousand units sold this previously week. The innovative title is soon expected to join the ranks of Animal Crossing: Wild World and the additional Brain Training titles as million plus sellers for the system.

We’ll have an updated look at the hardware sales tomorrow. Be sure to check back with us then for a more complete update regarding the status of the Japanese gaming industry.Your text to link…
