Want to relive the glory days of your youth and the video game cartoons which occupied the time, but don’t want to go hunting for episodes on YouTube or spend money on the DVDs? Well you’re in luck then, you lazy cheapskate, because we’ve got just the answer for you.
The oddly-named Jaroo.com is a new website that is described as being like “Hulu for kids.” However, it is lacking in new content, so a lot of older shows fill out its content instead.
Shows such as The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, starring the late Captain Lou Albano, as well as The Legend of Zelda episodes and Captain N: The Game Master. They’ve even got Sonic Underground and Pole Position, which was loosely based on the old Atari racing game.
In fact, you’ll notice a lot– if not all– of the content so far is from the now-defunct DiC Entertainment, so there’s plenty of other stuff like Inspector Gadget to watch. But as for video game stuff, the above is it for now, and even then, it’s only so many episodes of each, but more are coming.
Maybe with any luck, as Topless Robot suggests, we’ll get some shows like The Real Ghostbusters or He-Man on there.
As an aside, watching the first episode of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! makes me wish that the Toads in New Super Mario Bros. Wii might make that squeak-toy sound when they hit their heads.
