Kratos Kuts Up Opponents in PS3 Mortal Kombat

Â

Finally putting rumors to rest, it was announced this evening that God of War‘s famous antihero, Kratos, will be making a guest appearance in the PS3 version of WB/Neatherrealm’s Mortal Kombat title early next year. Rumor has it that he will not be playable in the game’s story mode, but will be a full-featured character (special moves, fatalities, and all) for versus and online play. The trailer shown here puts all rumors to rest: it’s official.

The addition of Kratos to the kast of kombatants certainly is an exciting development. Mortal Kombat is launching for the PS3 and Xbox 360 early next year.

No word on whether the Xbox 360 version of the title will contain a guest character.
