Fans of Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi’s highly anticipated Xbox 360 exclusive RPG, Lost Odyssey, got some good news today, as Sakaguchi revealed, in an interview with Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu, that an hourlong demo of the game is complete and ready for next week’s Tokyo Game Show.
While Sakaguchi is sure that his studio’s second Xbox 360 title, Blue Dragon, will be released this year, he was apprehensive about Lost Odyssey’s chances for a release this year.
â€With regard to Lost Odyssey and Cry On, although we won’t know for sure until they actually launch, they are progressing steadily.†said Sakaguchi.
Famitsu also plans to distribute the demo in their November issue, though Sakaguchi gave no further details on the demo’s possible distribution means. With the precedent of Q Entertainment’s 99 Nights and Capcom’s Lost Planet Xbox Live Marketplace demos though, some speculate that the demo could make its way to U.S. shores after TGS.
