Media: Data East Arcade Classics – Debut Trailer

I don’t believe it’s any secret that I’m a fan of older video games, which is actually something I’ve rather enjoyed about this generation, as well as the last. Thanks to services like Virtual Console, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and the PlayStation Network, plus compilation discs, playing oldies (golden or otherwise) has become easier than a trip to the flea market (though in some cases, more expensive).

And thanks to Majesco Entertainment, Data East is now joining in on the fun with its Arcade Classics:

One I’m particularly looking forward to is Caveman Ninja, aka “Joe & Mac.” This was one of the Super NES games that really seemed to show what the system could do in its earliest days, but I never actually got a chance to play it. It looks like that is finally about to change.

Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja, Bump n’ Jump, and Burgertime are some others I’m eager to get my hands on. Pity Robocop probably isn’t going to make the cut, though.
