Sony has announced through GameSpot that United Front Games’ ModNation Racers is coming to the PlayStation Portable, and it is due to arrive this Spring alongside its PlayStation 3 big brother, courtesy of the publisher’s San Diego studio.

The handheld game will use the wipEout engine and feature the same multiplayer racing and customization features as the PS3 version, plus a few extra bells and whistles. A single player story mode taking place across a gauntlet of races and occasional bosses will be included, as well as an exclusive multiplayer mode.
