Media: New Super Mario Bros. Wii – Video Interview

Thanks to the folks from Nintendo and G4TV.com at the Penny Arcade Expo, it looks like those of us who can’t wait to find out more about New Super Mario Bros. Wii have a special treat in store for us, thanks to the following video interview with Nintendo Public Relations Manager Kit Ellis:

About 70 or so levels, he says. I wonder if that is actual levels, or “goals,” such as the 96 of Super Mario World.

The Yoshi gameplay sounds neat, particularly spitting hammers back at the Hammer Bros. And can you say “Grand Theft Yoshi?”

One thing does concern me, however: he mentions some areas which are only accessible via co-op. I hope that means two people are needed to reach it; I’m not sure how often, if ever, I’ll be able to get three or four together, and I would definitely like to be able to find everything the game has to offer.
