This one has come in a little late, but back at GamesCom 09, GameTrailers had the chance to hop in the saddle with Creative Director Jason Vandenberghe to talk about Ubisoft’s upcoming Wii title, Red Steel 2, which has a “fresh new build” and some new features:
I like the option they seem to be working in to play to your preference, be it by bullet or by blade, but with the need to realize you can’t be entirely reliant on one or the other if you wish to achieve success. Personally? I look forward to mixing it up.
Vandenberghe says he expects that we will see more of this kind of thing on the Wii now, thanks to MotionPlus, since the standard Wii Remote wasn’t sensitive enough to all the information needed to pull it off successfully. I think I would like to see that happen myself.
