The Tokyo Game Show has arrived, and we can finally put the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom speculation to rest. Well, one part, anyway. Thus far, only one new character has been revealed: the long-awaited fighting game debut of Dead Rising star Frank West, who is more than up to the challenge (he’s covered wars, you know).
Here is the TGS trailer in which he makes his debut appearance:
In all honesty, he seems like the perfect character to mark the game’s “West”-ern debut when it hits our shores on January 26th (29th in Europe).
In the video above, you caught but a glimpse of what ol’ Frank brings to the fight, but this next video gives you a better look at his arsenal in action:
Something tells me he’s going to be a fan favorite of sorts when the game is released here. The Mega Man stuff is cool, the zombies look like they’ll make for an interesting dynamic, and… is it me, or does your partner push the shopping cart when they come out?
His victory pose reminds me of Spider-man’s from the old Marvel games. But can anyone tell me if that’s the voice he has in Dead Rising?
You can find screens and art of Frank West in our Tatsunoko vs. Capcom gallery below. For now, there is a new gameplay video of the previously revealed character, Tekkaman Blade:
He looks like he’ll be fun to play as. I wonder what kind of team he and Frank would make?
