Electronic Entertainment Expo – Booth #900 – LOS ANGELES, CA – May 22, 2002 – Konami of America Inc., today announced that Metal Gear Solid® 2 Substance, the latest entry in the hit Metal Gear franchise will be released for the Xboxâ„¢ video game console from Microsoft in November 2002. Versions for the Sony PlayStation® 2 computer entertainment system and PC are under development. Metal Gear Solid® 2 Substance is being developed by the world-renowned Konami Computer Entertainment Japan development team, led by Hideo Kojima.
In the new title, players can expect to find the same deep storyline found in Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, plus bonus modes, hundreds of never-before-seen VR missions and all-new adventures in which players assume the role of Solid Snake.
