Today in Las Vegas, Midway announced that their next football game which was going under the name Blitz Playmakers has been renamed to Blitz The League.
Midway did not give reason as to why the game’s name was changed, but did say that it has not effected the “behind the scenes” part of the professional sport on and off the field.
There was no video trailer shown for the game, only a few screenshots. The final platforms for which the game will release on were also not mentioned.
The Advanced Media Network will be sure to bring you the latest on Blitz The League later this year when more information is revealed at E3 2005.
