For my games this weekend, I get a special treat. Well, special for me, anyway.
I’ve got a couple of Nintendo’s New Play Control! titles on loan in Mario’s Power Tennis and Pikmin. I’ve already given MPT a go, and it’s not too bad. That means that I now have my eyes set on Pikmin to see how that fares versus the GameCube version of the title, which I have around here somewhere. I hear the interface is quite the improvement.
I know I’ve said I’d review Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, but finding the time lately has been difficult. Hopefully I can get something up soon, but in the meantime, I’ll just say: Get it. For $30, it’s hard to beat the price (see what I did there?), and while different in a number of ways from the GameCube original, it definitely hits all the right notes.
Also, I’ll likely try to squeeze in a bit of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations. That, and the usual Animal Crossing: City Folk. I’m beginning to strongly dislike the wearing-down of grass, though; my town’s starting to look like an old-west desert town. With trees.
