My First Portable PlayStation

My First Portable
PlayStation

This week I got my hands on
my very own, brand-new, super-shiny, ultra-anticipated PlayStation Portable (PSP)!!!

Okay, so it’s a cardboard
cutout.  It’s still a PSP!  In spirit…

Aside from the game lineup,
the most striking thing about the console is how thin it is.

We did a side-by-side
comparison with the Nintendo DS to see how the two consoles stack up.

The entire GZ staff was
speechless.

Even these Sony rechargeable
batteries are no

match for the PSP’s
smaller-than-life size.

Contrary to previous
reports, the PSP is not short on battery life.  In fact, this cardboard cutout
doesn’t need to be charged at all!  Just hold it in your hands, think happy
thoughts, and fun will magically happen!

Pure

Wipeout excitement.

Thanks to Sony’s high-tech paper-thin
design, the PSP can be bent in a number of ways for hours of bending fun.

You can’t do THIS with your
Game Boy Advance SP!

If Nintendo ever decides to
become a third-party developer, we know which console they’d make Paper
Mario
for!

The one that’s the coolest,
hippest, and thinnest!  The one that fits perfectly into any pocket!

PlayStation Portable.

PlayStation Portable (PSP)
is Sony’s first entry into the world of
portable video game entertainment, featuring state-of-the-art-technology and
PS2-quality games.  With another week of anticipation ahead before the console
is released, Louis Bedigian went nuts when he got his hands on his very own…cardboard
cutout of a PSP
.  Handed out to EBgames customers as a way of soothing our
insanity, the cardboard cutout is not real and cannot play any games.  We can
pretend though, can’t we?

Look for GameZone Online to stop pretending and start playing the real
PSP when we review the first games later this week!
