For those of you that don’t already know, one of the new features coming to Uncharted 2 is Twitter functionality. Dubbed “chapter completion,” this feature – should you choose to enable it – will update your Twitter status each time you complete one of the game’s chapters. Though, according to Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells on the Playstation blog, the constant updates have become a cause for concern.
“Some reviewers have had early access to the game and selected the option to update their Twitter accounts as they completed each chapter of the game. This has resulted in some Twitter feeds being updated multiple times an hour. We obviously want to provide the best experience for everybody, so for the time being we’ve disabled Twitter updates on chapter completions,” he said.
Sorry all of you Twitter fans, it looks like this exciting new functionality won’t be included day one, but don’t worry, Naughty Dog is planning to patch it in later with a limit on the update frequency.
