The Need Humanity playthrough series looks to introduce newer players to Dark Souls, help them with general mechanics, find items, and help with bosses. I trudge through Lordran, derp around bonfires, and kills some baddies in the process.
In the twenty-ninth of this series Rei and I teach a lesson in soul farming in the Painted World of Ariamis. After we get our fill of souls, we leave the painting and head back to the forest. Take the Havel the Rock’s prison/tower bottom exit, turn right, and you’ll see a giant Hydra. Equip the Rusted Ring to help your mobility and slay the beast – CUT OFF ALL THE HEADS! Nearby, you’ll find the golden golem containing Dusk of Oolacile. Answer yes to her question and we’re that close to the DLC. She’s a nice lady, treat her right.
