New Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Characters Revealed: Phoenix and Haggar

 

This morning (in advance of Capcom’s invite-only Las Vegas event), two long-rumored additions to the roster were announced.

 

 

On the Capcom side, Metro City mayor Mike Haggar will be joining the Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 roster. A grappler character, he appears to have access to all of his moves from the Final Fight games and much, much more. This character was long rumored to be part of the MvC3 cast following a photo taken inside Capcom around Halloween that showed a cell-shaded Haggar on a computer monitor.

 

 

Marvel’s new representative is yet another long-rumored addition, Phoenix. Based on the announcement video, she appears to have projectile, rush-down, and shield moves. She can also transform into Dark Phoenix after running out of life (with amped up versions of her existing special moves, but constantly decreasing vitality). A fan favorite, she is a welcome addition to MvC3 and appears to be quite the powerhouse as well.
