Coming in mid-December, the PSP’s extended life battery will be packaged with two covers and will reportedly double the battery life of the PSP Slim.
“The new battery kit will be available at retailers for $44.99 (MSRP) in mid-December – just in time to get you through your holiday travels and any long delays at the airports,” Sony stated on their blog.
The battery was originally designed for the PSP which is why the battery life is so much longer on the slim but because of its larger size, it sticks out of the newer PSP model. To solve this, Sony has bundled the battery with a “Piano Black” and “Ice Silver” cover to make the combination a better match.
