Nintendo Hosts Dogs Event For Girls

Nintendo Of America has put out the word that an upcoming gathering titled the “Dog Days of Summer: Girls’ Gaming Event” has been announced and will take place this upcoming Sunday from 2pm to 4pm at the Nintendo World Store in New York City.

The event is being billed as a place where young female gamers can become acquainted with Nintendogs for the Nintendo DS and can watch, play, shop and get dog training tips from experts and peers in a family-friendly atmosphere. Some highlights of the show include:

  • Kids and adults utilizing the unique Bark Mode to interact at the “virtual dog park” event
  • Pictures taken in a huge, branded Nintendog dog house
  • Everyone hanging out in the “Barka Lounge” area: Bean Bag chairs and fluffy dog beds are a great place to rest and refuel while playing Nintendogs
  • Girls playing Nintendogs and setting up virtual puppy playdates at the “sit! stay!” station, Teen People Trendspotters for “doggy obedience training,” and more
  • Gaming stations with demonstrations by expert Nintendo ambassadors
