Nintendo Launches PC Clock

testNintendo of America has launched the Animal Crossing Desktop Clock. The clock, which is for PCs running Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, or XP with 300 MHz or better processors, is also helping Nintendo collect data on how gamers are connected to the internet — data that will be important to them for the upcoming Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for the Nintendo DS.

You can get the clock here, but you must be a MyNintendo member. If you aren’t, you can sign up for free.

The Animal Crossing Desktop Clock uses the time from the standard Windows clock, and will continue to work even after Nintendo’s testing for the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection is complete. Unlike spyware, the Animal Crossing Desktop Clock will not submit personal information to Nintendo, or any other company. In addition, you can opt out of sending your network connection data back to Nintendo.
