In video games, time acts as a constant nemesis. Whether its grim specter chasing Mario as he races for the flag, or it simply ticks down as the impending release of a movie tie-in draws ever nearer, or just finding enough to really sit down and enjoy what you’re playing, time is rarely ever on one’s side in gaming.
And while No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle will afford fans the opportunity to use new playable characters, time raises its ugly head once more to prevent players from being able to use them to engage one another or team up in multiplayer, as Grasshopper Manufacture CEO and Director Goichi Suda tells Nintendo Power.
He does concede that such a concept would make sense, he explains to the magazine that “I don’t think we’re going to have time to implement anything on that front.”
It’s unfortunate, but ultimately, I want the single-player experience to be the best that it can be. Perhaps another time, Suda can add it into the mix. Maybe it will take a greater priority if he’s developing on another platform?
