As one of the first Revolution games to be officially revealed to be in development, Tecmo’s Pangya Golf Revolution was originally expected, and rightfully so, to be an online enabled title for the system.
For those unfamiliar, the game is based off a popular Japanese golf game for the PC platform that was heavily centered around online gaming. However the same can not be said for the Revolution iteration, as the game will not support online gameplay, but rather focus its attention on other aspects.
In a recent interview with the Japanese gaming publication Famitsu, the game’s producer Keisuke Kikuchi revealed his intentions to develop Pangya Golf as a unique Revolution title rather than as a simple port of the previously existing PC version.
With the console offering, Tecmo hopes to create a new benchmark for game’s based around the sport of golf. As such, they are heavily emphasizing elements such as the game’s control, and the prevailing environments present.
Asides from the aforementioned news of a lack of online support for the game, the Famitsu article has also managed to interject a few confirmed details for the game. Each of Pangya Golf’s characters will come equipped with their own individual story-lines and upon their completion unlockable content will be rewarded to the player.
