We all know that one of the big things about Wii Sports Resort, besides being a sequel to the hugely popular Wii Sports, is that it will include Nintendo’s latest peripheral: The Wii MotionPlus. We also know that it will not be the the first game released to utilize the device, nor will those wanting to experience it have to wait for Nintendo’s bundle to get it.
What is new, however, is that EA has apparently taken some sort of initiative to feature their own bundles of Wii MotionPlus add-ons and games. Specifically, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 and EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis will have bundles which come with the MotionPlus, though only the former will be available in North America.
Of course, the MotionPlus is no freebie; it raises the prices of the two games in Europe from £29.99 to £49.99. So naturally, it’s reasonable to expect Tiger’s price to climb a bit when his game hits North America on June 16th.
For those who’ve decided they might as well get Wii Sports Resort so that a second player might get in on the MotionPlus action, Amazon and GameStop are currently aiming for a $49.99 price point.
