Uwe Boll has made a career adapting videogame properties into films. Atrocious films that have no business being released for public consumption. Boll is a director with the sensibilities of a school bus full of teenage boys. He has a lot of ideas for “what would be cool” but has no ability to execute on them. Of course, none of his work has approached artistic merit in any way, he is a bad director who makes really bad movies.Â
So why on Earth is he directing a movie about the holocaust?Â
The teaser trailer above is for Boll’s latest film Auschwitz, which of course is the infamous Nazi concentration camp for Jewish prisoners during the holocaust. Yes, that holocaust. The one where 6 million human beings were murdered for simply being Jewish in a cold and systematic way.Â
The trailer shows a man leaning against the door to a gas chamber while dozens of people inside are clamoring to be released. It is awful. What is worse is that Uwe Boll is the man leaning against the door.Â
This is truly an 11 on the WTF scale. How does this sort of thing happen?Â
