Oklahoma Video Game Exibition

On August 19, 2006, the 4th annual Oklahoma Video Game Exibition will be taking place. Starting as a very small gathering back in 2003, the OKVE has since grown into one of the best places in the midwest states for gamers, both classic and next-gen, to gether and have fun together. Look here for AMN’s coverage of last year’s show. There will be vintage and rare gaming gear on display (including prototypes), as well as pleanty of gaming good for sale. All arcade machines will be set on free play, and there will be a classic gaming tournament, as well as a Street Fighter tournament held by Josh Risner & Trung Tang of Shoryuken.com. Also in attendance from the video game music remix community will be Mustin, co-founder of OneUp Studios who will be performing classic video game music all day for attendees.

This year, the OVGE will be held August 19, 2006 in the Council Oaks Ballroom at the Marriott Southern Hills Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma opening at 9:00AM. For detailed directions, click here.

If you live in the area, and want to spend the day hanging out with some fellow gamers of all ages (or just show show Lucas that he isn’t half the Street Fighter god that he seems to think he is), then come on over to the OVGE and have some fun.
