Those looking to get a satisfying conclusion to the story-extending The White March part 1 expansion for Pillars of Eternity, need only to wait until mid February, when part 2 will finally be available. New challenges will await players as well as new quests, a raised level cap and a new companion.
Capcom's hit fighting franchise is almost upon us. If you're the competitive type and prefer the likes of Hadouken and Shoryuken over your gory Fatality, then Street Fighter V is sure to be on your radar already.
The ongoing feud between flora and undead wages on in the next installment of the third-person spin-off, PvZ: Garden Warfare 2. Not only will there be an expanded solo mode so players can play by themselves, there will be a suite of new modes for multiplayer as well, including a unique mode called Backyard Battleground, which is a small open-world of sorts where players can wage war against the other faction and complete missions.
The devs over at Techland sure know how to make an expansion. Featuring a bigger map than the original, vehicles, new gameplay modes, and more loot, The Following expands the base game on a grand scale, offering both new and existing players a ton of content.
Firewatch will be an atmospheric game, placing players in the Wyoming wilderness in 1989, where they'll have to communicate with their supervisor via radio, and uncover some strange occurences that are going on.
CyberConnect 2's anime fighter is returning with the fourth numbered installment, propelling the Naruto storyline even further. I've always loved these games, as they were able to showcase fast-paced and fluid grand battles, albeit with a simplified control scheme. Something I'm sure Dragon Ball Z games might benefit from as well.
This charming puzzle platformer will send players on an adventure as Yarny. While platforming, the yarn will continuously unravel from Yarny, meaning you'll have to make deliberate and careful decisions during each level.
While most of February's releases on PC also tie in with console releases, the platform does have two exclusive titles for it, as well as a re-release of a fantastic Tales title from the Gamecube era.
XCOM 2, Pillars of Eternity: The White March part 2 and Tales of Symphonia highlight this month, but are supplemented with other great releases, ranging from a giant Dying Light expansion, to a fighting game heavy hitter that PC gamers are sure relieve some tension with.
Let's check out the full lineup.
The Gamecube RPG will finally get its due with an HD re-release on Steam. All thanks to Bandai's continued strong support for PC releases.
The aliens won, and now XCOM is nothing but a band of resistance fighters. Taking place 20 years after the events of the previous game, XCOM: Enemy Unknown, players will have to fight to reclaim the land that was once theirs.
As much as I love the Warriors series, and as much as I love anime/manga, I'm completely unfamiliar with this specific property. The game is based on the 2015 anime and will feature numerous characters from the show. As is standard in the Warriors series, if you're a fan of mowing down 1000s of soldiers in a given mission, like I do, then Arslan is certainly worth keeping your eye on.
The third and final game in the 2.5D Assassin's Creed Chronicles game comes out this month, and this time players will find themselves in 1918 Russia, and playing as assassin Nikolai Orelov.
