Buena Vista Games has announced that Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest has begun shipping to retail stores. The game allows players to take control of Captain Jack Sparrow in hand-to-hand combat and use strength, speed, and “dirty” attacks to take down enemies. The PSP version of the game also features multiplayer ship battles for up to four players via ad hoc Wi-Fi.
“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest lets gamers embark on a high-seas adventure that parallels events from the upcoming summer blockbuster film release,” said Graham Hopper, senior vice president and general manager, Buena Vista Games. “As one of the most successful handheld video game publishers, BVG looks forward to offering gamers the opportunity to take the action from the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ film franchise with them wherever they go.”
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest will be available June 27 and sells for $39.99.
