Pokemon on Fire: Sells One Million in Five Days

After ten years of Pokémon there’s only one thing left to do; make sure the latest version sells faster then all previous Pokémon games.

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl accomplished that this week after selling 1 million copies in five days in the US. 500,000 copies of the more-than-155 million-copies-sold franchise were pre-ordered in the US before launch. The success of these handheld behemoths may be enough to cause a another large stir when Pékemon Battle Revolution launches in June for the Wii.

Battle Revolution will allow players to upload all of their Diamond and Pearl Pékemon to the 3D arena and challenge players online in 3D battles.
