Predicting tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct 3DS and Wii U announcements

With Nintendo's next "Nintendo Direct" presentation set to take place tomorrow, only one question is on our minds: "What the heck will Nintendo announce?" We already know the publisher has plans to discuss its upcoming games for the Wii U and 3DS, but what is it that we'll actually see?

We were spoiled with the last Nintendo Direct; we received a barrage of Wii U game announcements. While I don't think tomorrow's presentation will be of the same caliber, I do think we'll get a decent amount of new information. We're less than 24 hours away and there's no better time to share what we want to see during tomorrow's presentation.

More of Monolith Soft's new game

In the last Wii U Direct, it was revealed that Xenoblade Chronicles developer Monolith Soft is working on a new Wii U game codenamed "X". At least, that's what we think its code name is judging by the large red "X" flashed at the end of the trailer. I want to see more of this game; the teaser was intriguing, and I want to know more. What's it about? How does it play? More importantly, what the heck is its real name?

Release dates for Pikmin 3 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Nintendo has several high-profile games set to release on the Wii U — namely Pikmin 3 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf. We had a bit of Pikmin 3 in the last Nintendo Direct, but that focused primarily on the game's camera feature. We still didn't get a release date! Right now, the only timeframe we have is spring 2013, but that only applies for Japan. When can we expect it in North America? At least give us a release window. Same goes for Animal Crossing: New Leaf. When will it launch on 3DS?

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y

Pokémon X and Pokémon Y were two games revealed last month as part of a special Pokémon Direct presentation. For those unfamiliar with the titles, these are two games that will launch exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS in October 2013. They are also set in a "spectacular 3D world," a first for the series. Since their reveal, we haven't heard much more about the games other than seeing a few screenshots of the three Starter Pokémon. How about some more gameplay footage?

An explanation from Ubisoft

This one may be a little much to ask for given that the Rayman Legends Wii U demo was just confirmed last week. As a peace offering by Ubisoft for delaying the game's launch until September, the company promised a demo only for the Wii U. I'd really like some clarification as to why the game was delayed. On top of that, I'd like to know what this demo will entail and when we can expect it to drop.

Bayonetta 2 gameplay footage

Bayonetta 2 was addressed during the last Nintendo Direct, although it wasn't exactly what we had hoped for. Nintendo explained it was a little too early to show off official Bayonetta 2 gameplay, and instead offered us a behind-the-scenes video of the making of the game. It's only been about two weeks since then, but hopefully we can see a little more from this game. Once again, maybe a release window?

The Nintendo Direct presentation will begin at 6am PT/9am ET. Be sure to tune in to GameZone for live updates and analysis on the latest announcements. But first, what can Nintendo's big Valentine's gift to you be? What do you want to see announced?
