Months after Microsoft cast off Double Fine Production’s platformer, it finds a new publisher.
Two years into its development, the Psychonauts saga is opening a new chapter. Well-placed industry sources tell GameSpot that Majesco has agreed to publish the eccentric platformer, a fact which was backed up by a video trailer recently screened at the G-phoria awards which sported the Majesco logo. No information about a possible release date was available.Originally, Microsoft was to handle distribution of the Xbox-exclusive title, but the company pulled out of its deal with developer Double Fine Productions in late March. Since then, no word has been heard about a publisher for the eccentric platformer, which was created by Grim Fandango mastermind Tim Schafer.
