Resident Evil Legends Included in RE5 Gold Edition, DLC

Resident Evil 5 may have had a ton of included content, but a surprising omission was the lack of any characters from earlier games. Well, if a new patch is any indication, it looks like two of Resident Evil’s most lauded (and little-seen) heroes will be making a return.

The patch seems to only be on PS3 for now, but it adds Barry Burton and Rebecca Chambers into the game’s figures section. Both made their debuts in the original Resident Evil, with Rebecca gaining the starring role in Resident Evil Zero.

Of course, both characters might be just nice nods to fans, but it’d be pretty silly for Capcom to include their models without adding them into the upcoming Resident Evil 5 DLC (and the upcoming Gold Edition) as hidden characters. We’ll see what happens when the content is released next month.
