Roundtable: What ONE game are you most excited to see at E3 2013?

So the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo officially begins tomorrow; two of the three console makers (Microsoft and Sony) and a few larger publishers (EA and Ubisoft) will be hosting their individual press conferences. The real fun, however, begins on Tuesday, when we go to on the E3 show floor and get hands-on time (or hands-off time) with the latest and greatest titles — and let's not forget a first look at next-gen games!

So with that, what ONE game are you most looking forward to see at this year's E3?

I'm really tempted to say that I'm looking forward to In-n-Out Burger again, but I won't. I was also thinking of saying any one of the big Nintendo titles – Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, etc. – that they'll be showing. But after this latest trailer, I think I'm most excited for…

Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Bethesda is masterfully hyping this game. The trailers have been superb and of high cinematic quality, building a world that I can't wait to play out this reboot in. And towards the end of the newest trailer, we even got to see actual gameplay.

Verdict: Bethesda has my undivided attention.

I actually hate myself for asking this question for the roundtable. How can I pick just one of the many amazing-looking games that will be on-hand? E3 is a buffet for games, and I've got quite the appetite — and a bit of a chubby (yes, that can get kind of awkward around the developers, but most of them understand).

Anway, to answer my stupid question, I'm most excited for hands-on time with Watch Dogs. Take my excitement for the game, which started at last year's E3, and tack on 365 days — and the countless trailers and screenshots. Talk about Watch Dogs blue balls. Admittedly, I've done it to myself; I've had opportunities to see the game up close, but each time something came in the way.

But at E3, nothing — and I mean NOTHING — will stop me from getting my freak on with Watch Dogs. As a side note, just because I refuse to pick one game, I'm also excited for South Park: The Stick of TruthMurdered: Soul SuspectKingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIXSuck it, stupid roundtable question!

Verdict: Watch Dogs, but I really hate this question.

Next week, the gaming world will be witnessing its defining moment, E3. The Electronic Entertainment Expo will be impacting the industry in a bigger way than ever before — with next-gen consoles.

Excluding IPs that we haven't even heard of yet, it's hard for me to say that there is one specific game that I want to see. I know that I want to hear more about Destiny, Watch Dogs and THIEF, but which of those do I really, really want to hear about?

I suppose it really comes down to Square Enix's THIEF. After successfuly publishing the Tomb Raider reboot (though they consider it a failure), I can only assume that they will grant Eidos Montreal the same freedom to breathe new life into THIEF

Verdict: THIEF can steal my heart at E3!

In all honestly, I find this question completely overwhelming. I dunno. A bunch of them?! This year’s E3 is so loaded that I’m almost embarrassed by my own excitement. First of all, I’m hoping that Destiny’s official announcement shows us how far Bungie have come since Halo, and that “how far” is “awesomely far.” So is that the most enticing prospect?

Nahhh, it has to be whatever EA has brewing with the Star Wars franchise… right? After all, BioWare plus Star Wars smacks of a Mass Effect-style action RPG, and I can tell you right now, I would lose some serious hours over that kind of combination.

Then again, I’m a binge-addiction mobile player, too, and to be honest, Fightback looks like a hell of a lot of fun, and if they can pace it correctly and keep the action heavy, the idea of Ultima mobile game simply sets my heart aflutter. Seriously, there’s a lot to be excited about!

Oh hang on, nope, it’s Titanfall. I’m curious to see what Respawn can come up with, and if reality is anything like what I’m imagining: crazy PvE giant robot fights, mechs, maybe some combination of air- and ground-based combat, oh hell, why not some PvP, too… yeah, this game is a big unknown for me, and strikes just the right balance of potential and intrigue.

Verdict: A long-winded response that doesn't answer the question.

I'm honestly looking forward to seeing a lot of things at E3. Whether it's some hands-on time with Watch Dogs, or even Dark Souls 2, there are tons of games I'm dying to see first-hand. However, one of my most anticipated titles is one that's not only unconfirmed to be at E3, but hasn't even been officially announced by its parent company. That game is, of course, Kingdom Hearts 3.

Not only is it my most anticipated game of, well, whatever year it decides to come out, it would single-handedly decide which console I would give preference to buying first. Seriously! Kingdom Hearts 3 would easily sway me into purchasing a PS4 over an Xbox One at launch. It has that kind of power over me!

The series has certainly shifted its spin-offs over many consoles and handhelds. Starting out on the PS2, it moved to the Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS, PSP, and 3DS. However, it would only make sense that the next numbered game in the series return to its home console roots. Although, we saw Final Fantasy make the jump to the Xbox 360 with FFXIII, so it's hard to say.

Verdict: The possibility for Kingdom Hearts 3.
