Yesterday, we learned that Famitsu had leaked out the identity of one of the new combatants in the upcoming Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars, one Tekkaman Blade.
Today, however, it appears that Capcom’s very own Japanese website has betrayed them, possibly revealing the rest of the cast list. A member of the Shoryuken Forums had dug around and discovered a list of file names for image links (though the images themselves were not yet uploaded), each corresponding with a different member of the TVC roster, as well as a few new ones.
One of the new ones, “tekkabla.jpg,” we already knew of, of course. The remaining new names are “frank,” “joe,” “yatter02,” and “zero.”
These names would seem to imply, or are at least speculated to imply that Frank West of Dead Rising, Joe Asakura/Joe the Condor of Gatchaman, Yatterman #2, and either Zero Gouki or Zero, the crimson Reploid warrior of Mega Man fame.
In the last instance, it seems that Mega Man X’s partner is the favored character, though it remains unknown as to whether it is the Zero from the Mega Man X series, or his rather different looking futuristic counterpart from Mega Man Zero (who also appeared in SVC Chaos).
Personally, I think it would be nothing short of fantastic if we got both versions of Zero as alternate costumes. But, time will tell, and we’ll just have to wait for it. For now, it seems Capcom has seen to the oversight and removed the filenames from the web site.
Naturally, since nothing is official, we’re tagging this as a rumor, although a likely one.
