Word has it that at the GDC event in Paris, a Sony rep had said, perhaps by accident, that the third God of War would make its debut in Los Angeles next month at E3.
Talk from a few French sites is that even if it does show up, it likely won’t be playable, since it’s on course for a late 2009 release.
The game was first mentioned on the back cover of the manual for God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PlayStation Portable, which indicated that it was “coming soon.”
No much else to say at this point, really, save for hopes that some in-game action will be shown off, rather than some glorified cut-scenes.
CVG hopes for what’s shown are “preferably of Kratos going mental and stabbing a giant Cyclops in the eye with two rusty blades, before ripping his jaw off his face and using it to beat his mother to death.” Colorful.
