The popular Japanese gaming publication Famitsu has revealed in its latest issue that Koei is currently developing a version of Samurai Warriors 2 for the Xbox 360 in addition to the previously known PS2 offering.
Furthermore, the article has revealed that the game is on pace for a summer release over in Japan but will indeed be shown at next month’s Electronics Entertainment Expo.
Details regarding the third-person action title are largely unknown, but Famitsu has confirmed that the forthcoming 360 title will be drastically different than its PS2 brother.
For one, the 360 iteration will come equipped with a larger selection of characters to coincide with an obvious graphical upgrade. In addition, each of the game’s characters will have their own individual set of combat styles, special moves, and combo attacks.
However, the most interesting point of note from the Famitsu article comes in regards to the game’s loading times, as the publication has reported that Samurai Warriors 2 will not require any during the game’s action. It doesn’t sound like much, but this feature will certainly make for a much more cohesive and enjoyable gaming experience come the game’s release in the summer months.
Much more regarding this newly confirmed Xbox 360 title is sure to come when E3 goes underway in under two weeks time now. Stick with AMN for continued coverage of the entire gaming industry.
