Microsoft’s making a series of internal changes today. The company announced that expert question-dodger Shane Kim is being promoted to a new role within the company. His new title will be “corporate vice president of Strategy and Business Development”. It’s a fancy title, but exactly what will Kim do now? According to Microsoft, he will “explore new growth opportunities” and monitor “future external relationships and partnerships.”
Meanwhile, Phil Spencer, former general manager of Microsoft Games Studios Europe, will be taking over Kim’s previous role and duties. Both Kim and Spencer will report directly to senior vice president of Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Business, Don Mattrick.
Congrats, Kim. But does this mean we won’t get to interview you anymore?
