Skip Ltd. is best known for their quirky Cube RPG Giftpia, and back on September 3rd, they seemed to confirm that a new game for another Nintendo system, the DS, was on it’s way.
Now it looks like they’re backing up a bit.
In an update to the weblog of Skip director Kenichi Nishi where the original announcement was made, he has now said that the entire affair was a mistake on his part.
“Sorry, it was all a lie. I can’t really talk about what I’m doing because of my legal obligation to keep secrets… I’m sorry for causing all the trouble.”
While it all does seem a bit confusing, it’s still entirely possible Skip is indeed developing for the DS. We’ll just have to wait and see.
