Determined to drain every last dime out of you before Christmas, Sony has announced that the Metal Gear Solid 4 Level and Costume Packs for LittleBigPlanet will be available on December 23rd at the PlayStation Store.
That may just be the freakiest, most delightful LittleBigPlanet trailer ever.
As mentioned a few days ago, you can purchase costumes of Old Snake, Meryl, Screaming Mantis, and even Raiden for $1.99 each, or just get the whole lot together for $5.99. That’s right, you don’t have to buy the whole set for Raiden after all.
But there are more costumes when you get the Metal Gear Solid Premium Level Pack. A Gurlokovich Soldier costume is included, with 72 new stickers, 12 new materials, 10 decorations, 18 new objects, 3 new background music tracks, 1 interactive music track, 1 MGS themed “sound object,” a plasma ball danger element, a laser sight gadget, a functioning searchlight lamp — “for those special ‘exclamation mark’ moments,” and the coup de gras, the Paintinator gun with paint switch.
The hardest part will be creating a level which doesn’t infringe on copyright.
As if all that weren’t enough, there are also 12 trophies… and the best part?
It’s all only $5.99.
And wait…there’s more…
So, here’s one of the coolest things about this pack…you guys know LBP is all about PLAY, CREATE & SHARE – well, you’ll be glad to know that this Level Pack holds true to that. For those who buy the Premium Level Pack, you get everything above (and hopefully a lot of fun in-between). If you don’t buy it, you’ll still be able to enjoy the MGS pack goodness. Here’s how:* Non-MGS Level Pack owners can PLAY the MGS Story Levels by joining a “host” who owns the pack and play the levels online together. Now you won’t be able to keep any objects, but you can have tons of fun just PLAYing.
* MGS Level Pack owners will be able to CREATE levels with any of these items (including the Paintinator) and SHARE them online for everyone to play. — PlayStation.Blog
