Project Manager Natsuki Shiozawa has been teasing bits and pieces of the first major update for Street Fighter IV on the official japanese SFIV blog.
Specifics on the update are few. The release date, and all of the content of the update will be announced soon. He did mention that the “free” update will add two new modes for you all to beat each others brains out in. The first is the previously talked about “Championship Mode”. The other mode wasn’t fully talked about at all but it has something to do with replays? Details on that at a later date.
Also mentioned was the PC version being developed along side the update. Shiozawa had mentioned that even though the console version of Street Fighter IV has already been released that the development team hasn’t taken a vacation they are still hard at work on things for the game.
I love when developers continue to work and work and work on a game after it has already been released. They are really backing Street Fighter IV, it really is the comeback of fighting games and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
