Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels in Under Nine Minutes

A news tip dropped off earlier alerted me to a video by the wonderful Miller of Ross, who has assembled a pretty solid speed-run of Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels from Super Mario All-Stars.

And, never one to turn down a good reader tip, I’m happy to pass along the video to all of you:

In a way, I really have to admire speedrunners who manage to hone their craft so well. I’ve beaten SMB:TLL before, without warping no less, but it’s a feat rarely repeated under my roof. I’ve wowed a few people by playing through the original SMB and Mega Man 2 before, but I can’t even imagine playing through TLL like this.

The Lost Levels is also known in Japan as “Super Mario Bros. 2: For Super Players,” and I think this performance certainly qualifies for the “super” tag. I can certainly do no better.

You can see Mr. Miller take on worlds A-D in seven minutes in the next video below, and find some of his other videos at Original Nintendo.net.
