TGS 2006: Unreal Tournament Supports MODs

Today during a Q/A session at the Tokyo Game Show, developer Epic Games, the company’s CEO Tim Sweeney discussed the difficulties and benefits associated with developing games for the Playstation 3.

Amidst this discussion a rather intriguing bit of news emerged, as Sweeney revealed that his company would indeed release development tools to end users to allow the creation MODs for Unreal Tournament 2007.

This news comes as somewhat of a shock, as nothing comparable has ever been attempted and could go along way in revolutionizing the online console gaming community.
