The Last Guardian Guide Part 3: Forest, Stained Glass, Magical Cage, Fighting Trico & Suits of Armor

This is part three of our The Last Guardian walkthrough. You can find part two (escaping the cave) here. Part three is a bit lengthier as we encounter our first real series of puzzles.

Once you escape that initial section, go to your right and turn around. Climb the side of the ledge (Trico will follow you). Use his electric to break open the door across the way. Cross the broken pillar to the other side.

Puzzle 1: Forest & Stained Glass

Run through the corridors into the giant room (do not let Trico follow you as his head can get stuck in the small window/doors). Once inside the big room, go to the right up the stairs. Once up the stairs (to your left is a hidden food barrel under some garbage) go to the right and call Trico up so he jumps. Run back and use his tail to blow up the garbage. Grab the food barrel and take it back downstairs. Feed it to Trico.

Climb Trico's back up the ledge of the ruins and scale them until you get to the top. Call Trico and he will jump up. Walk some more and you'll see a small cave, inside is a barrel of food. Feed it to Trico. Use his tail to blow up the wooden panels. On the other side you'll see a fence, and to the right of that fence is a small hole in the rocks. Crawl through it to escape. Run around for a bit and return to Trico as he climbs out of the cage. He will walk around a bit and then roar at the giant tower.

Once he roars, turn around and run to the other side of the forest. You'll see another giant gate. Climb on Trico's back and he'll jump over the gate. On the other side of the gate is stained glass with an eye (this frightens Trico). Push it off the cliff and continue into the ruins. Inside the ruins is a small corridor with food at the end. Grab the barrel and feed it to Trico. Run up the stairs and you'll see a gate. Jump on Trico's back and climb him until you can reach the ledge. Escape through the window and scale the wall until you can jump into the other window which is on the other side of said gate. Pull the lever to open the gate. Once Trico is through, at the end of the hall is food which you can feed him. Once you feed him have him blow up the wooden panels. You'll come to a giant glowing blue cage.

Puzzle 2: Giant Magical Cage & Fighting Trico

Jump down onto the platform. This cage has a weird, mysterious effect on Trico, turning him violent against you. He will attack you. LET HIM EAT YOU (Note: There is a Trophy for surviving for two minutes before letting him eat you, just run around and roll to escape his attacks). Once he eats you, you'll see a cutscene.

Puzzle 3: Fighting the Suits of Armor

You'll awaken after the cutscene with your mirror missing. Climb down Trico's tail and navigate the sewer system. You'll see some possessed glowing suits of armor. These are BAD and you have no defense other than avoiding them. Once you escape the sewers, climb up the ladder and pull the lever to open the gate. Jump down and the Suits of Armor will attack you. Since you have no defense, run back to Trico. He will awaken and defend you.

Once he defeats the armor, he'll be in a frenzy. Try to walk up to him and soothe him by petting him. Once soothed, jump on his back and up to the wooden beams above. Navigate the beams until you reach the giant chain. Climb out of the ruins.
