Following a strong March showing which saw the release of several blockbuster games, including Battlefield Hardline and the PS4-exclusive Bloodborne, April is kicking off with a bang. While the month is filled with exclusives, there are still a few blockbuster titles releasing this month. And it starts this week with the following PS4 and Xbox One games.
Bastion – PS4 – April 7, 2015
Bastion is an action role-playing game from independent developer Supergiant Games. In the game, you play as “the Kid,” moving through a floating, fantasy world and fighting enemies of various types. Despite solid gameplay mechanics, Bastion is probably most known for its presentation, which features dynamic voiceover from a narrator that comments on your every move. Although Bastion was first released in 2011, the PS4 version will mark the first time its available to PlayStation owners.
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin – PS4 and Xbox One – April 7, 2015
Note: Because this week is pretty barren, I've included a special guest appearance — the Nintendo 3DS' Xenoblade Chronices 3D.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D – Nintendo 3DS – April 10, 2015
So this is technically a port from the Wii U game. And due to the processing power as well as additional buttons required, it's only available on the New Nintendo 3DS XL. If you happen to own one, it's definitely worth checking out.
