May the fourth be with you all! It's essentially the first week of May and with that we have some sweet new releases that once again encompass wildly different genres.
Whether you're ready to break lap records in Bandai's racing sim Project CARS, summon, fuse and battle with demons in Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, take on the Nazis in the prequel to Wolfenstein: The New Order or simply shoot at everything that moves in the sweet 2D shooter Not a Hero, next week has pretty much something for almost everyone.
Let's take a look at the releases.
The updated game to Devil Survivor 2 which came out in early 2012 releases on Tuesday, and comes with over a 100 hours of tactical gameplay. It also features english voice acting for the first time which brings cast of colorful characters to life.
Everything from demon fusions, to life altering decisions, and multiple endings can be found in Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker. Purchasing the game from Gamestop will also net you a soundtrack CD and some vinyl decals so you can proudly display your love for SMT.
Wolfenstein: The New Order was a surprisingly fun game with an old school mentality. Now, The Old Blood, is a standalone expansion pack that's actually a pre-quel to the original game.
Players will once again play as William "B.J." Blazkowicz, as he tries to discover the locations of a Nazi compound. The game will be split up into two separate campaigns, one where BJ must infiltrate Castle Wolfenstein to steal coordinates to the Nazi compound, and the second where he travels to the location to confront a Nazi archeologist that threatens to release a dark and ancient power.
From Roll7, the developer of OlliOlli, comes a fast-paced, high-octane shooter, set in a 2¼D perspective where players must slide, dive, duck and take cover in crazy shootouts.
If you were a fan of Roll7's graphical style of the original OlliOlli, you're bound to love Not a Hero's unique visual art style, that is entirely 2D, but has a slight shift in perspective, giving it some depth.
The game will offer a slew of unlockable characters, each one with unique weapon loadouts and gameplay styles.
The highly anticipated racing sim finally makes its first debut on PC, and then on consoles next week. Project CARS from Slightly Mad Studios has been delayed three times. It was originally supposed to release in November 2014, but then kept getting pushed back. Hopefully all this time spent in extra development ensures the game's quality. The game will include 65 cars, with more coming as DLC, and 52 race tracks.
