The Weekly Drop for Xbox One, PS4, and PC (6/1/15)

Hope you all recovered from your two week Witcher 3 binge. Speaking of which, I'm about 50 hours in and I have yet to see Skellige Islands. Jeez, that game is huge.

This week marks the release of one of the more controversial games, Hatred, as well as Double Fine's tactics game, Massive Chalice. Heroes of the Storm officially comes out of beta which is exciting for MOBA and Blizzard fans, and the extremely strange game previously exclusive to the Xbox One, D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is making its way to PC.

Let's check these games out a little more.

Hatred – PC – June 1

Destructive Creations are releasing their murder simulator, Hatred, to the masses on June 1st. The game has certainly been the topic of many discussions, and despite all odds, the game was still completed.

Hatred is the subject of a lot of controversy as it asks players to mercilessly slay civilians and police officers for no other reason other than being fueled by hatred of the world.

You'll be able to pick up Hatred digitally on Steam.

Massive Chalice – PC/Xbox One – June 1

The turn-based tactics generational game from Double Fine is finally coming out of Early Access on Steam, and is also available free for Xbox One Gold members.

The big focus in Massive Chalice is bloodlines and generational gameplay. What that means is your heroes will be able to marry other heroes, produce children and then play as those characters, and continue the bloodline. That also means positive and negative traits will transfer over through your lineage as well.

Heroes of the Storm – PC – June 2

MOBAs are all the rage now. Seriously, from various original games like DOTA 2 and League of Legends, to established franchises like Dead Island and even Adventure Time, they're absolutely everywhere.

However, despite the genre being a little crowded, I tip my hat off to Blizzard and Heroes of the Storm. For one, I'm not a big fan of MOBAs, in fact, I absolutely suck at games like LoL, but Heroes of the Storm manages to make the genre completely accessible. You can check my impressions on the game right here and see why it deserves your hard drive space.

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die – PC – June 5

Swery is known for strange, off-the-wall titles, such as Deadly Premonition, and his unique brand of strangeness can certainly be seen in D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die.

Its transition to the PC obviously forgoes all Kinect functionality but the same great game can be experienced with a controller or keyboard and mouse.

What game are you excited to pick up next week?
