The Weekly Drop for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo 3DS and PC (5/11/15)

Welcome to the latest edition of the Weekly Drop, where we give you the details on games releasing next week.

Next week you'll be able to live out your Titan slaying fantasies in Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains on the Nintendo 3DS, go back to Spira in the HD remaster of Final Fantasy X/X-2, race at breakneck speeds in Project CARS on consoles and experience one of the best Metroidvania games to date with Axiom Verge.

Let's take a look:

Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains – Nintendo 3DS

I've been playing through the game, and while I can't give you my final word on it yet, I will say it's pretty damn hard. Even though it's on the 3DS' small screen, the rush of zipping through the city with the Three Dimensional Maneuver Gear is really fun. Did I mention it was hard?

Titans have absolutely no mercy and will attempt to kick your ass and then eat it with without remorse. You'll need to be careful and maneuver around their attacks if you hope to survive. And once you beat the Story Mode, you can create your own character and team up with other players in World Mode. Sweet!

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster – PlayStation 4

Chances are, at least if you're a Final Fantasy fan, you've taken a trip to Spira at least once before. Now you'll get to do it again in the Final Fantasy X/X2 HD Remaster on the PS4.

Join Tidus and the gang in FFX as they accompany Yuna on a grand pilgrimmage to try and stop the world-ending Sin. Then become Final Fantasy's Charlie's Angels with Yuna, Rikku and Pain in Final Fantasy X-2, as Yuna tries to uncover the truth about a friend's disappearance.

Invisible, Inc. – PC

If you're a fan of spies and like the idea of a tactics game based in that universe, then Invisible, Inc. should be on your radar.

From the people that brought you the fantastic Mark of the Ninja and the Shank games, comes a tactical game that pits you in a team of two spies, as you tackle procedurally generated levels.

Project CARS – PS4/Xbox One

We already loved Project CARS, and while I haven't personally assigned a score yet, since I'd like to put the console version through its paces online, I can wholeheartedly recommend it for the gameplay alone.

Sitting somewhere between Forza and Gran Turismo, Project CARS certainly plays like a hardcore sim. However, like Forza, it has numerous options to make the game accessible to newcomers as well. If you have an affinity for fast cars, Project CARS is an absolute no brainer.

Lifeless Planet – Xbox One

Now mostly described as a walking simulator, Lifeless Planet puts you in the shoes of an austronaut that crashlands on a strange planet that somehow has human settlements on it.

If this sort of eerie concept intrigues you, maybe it's a game you should check out.

Axiom Verge – PC

Axiom Verge is one of those games that look like they belong in the 80s, but then you keep playing and realize its modern approach to classic Metroidvania is simply too ahead of its time. Welcome to 2015 where one of the best Metroidvania's to date, and also one of the best homages to Metroid came out from just a single developer.
