The Weekly Drop for Xbox One, PS4, Wii U and PC (3/16/15)

This is it. This is one of the big weeks in March. One that has some big anticipated titles coming that fans have been eagerly waiting for.

March has already kicked a whole lot of butt with releases like Code Name: STEAM, Ori and the Blind Forest, Cities: Skylines, Helldivers, and Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, and it still has two action-packed weeks left to go.

This week we'll be playing cops and robbers in Battlefield Hardline, commanding armies during the 100 Year's War in Bladestorm: Nightmare, fighting our country in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and also concluding the story in Resident Evil Revelations 2.

So let's dive into what you'll be playing this week.

Battlefield Hardline – PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One – March 17

Everyone loves to play cops and robbers right? EA and Visceral's newest Battlefield game centers around that very theme, thrusting you into a cop drama that unfolds like a TV series in the single player campaign, and then also carries over to the game's multiplayer.

While we can't give our verdict on the game until next week, we did get to play a whole lot of it. However, since we are playing pre-launch, we won't score the game until we officially get to play on live servers with the rest of you awesome people.

Bladestorm: Nightmare – Xbox One, PS3, PS4 – March 17

Bladestorm: The Hundred Years War was an offbeat title for Tecmo Koei that had players lead numerous armies, either fighting for the British or the French. No longer were you the lone warrior taking down thousands of units yourself, you had to rely on various armies and play to your strengths to take enemy armies down.

This re-release also features the Nightmare mode, which is an entirely new game with fantasy elements. That means Dragons, Goblins and other monsters will be entering the battlefield.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD – Xbox One, PS4 – March 17

The long awaited HD remake of the 2011 PSP game, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will have you take on the role of 14 members of Class Zero, as you're thrust deep into a war between regions.

I've been playing it this whole week and while I can't quite tell you how I'd score it, I am enjoying the game a lot. Each of the 14 members are quite distinct and have varying fighting styles, and the combat is fast and satisfying. Even non Final Fantasy fans might get a kick out of Type-0.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 – Episode 4 – PS3, PS4 – March 17 | PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One – March 18

The story finally comes to an end with Episode 4, which wraps the parallel Claire/Moira and Barry/Natalia storylines. The conclusion will also come with all the unlockable characters for Raid Mode, as well as all the missions, giving you plenty of reasons to keep playing the game, even once you beat the main story.

Also, the online multiplayer should be added now which will allow players to team up in Raid mode and tackle missions together.

Tales from the Borderlands – Episode 2 – PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Mobile – March 17

Unlike the timely Revelations episode, fans of Tales from the Borderlands had to wait a little bit for Episode 2, but hopefully it'll be worth it.

Players will once again assume the roles of Rhys and Fiona, in pursuit of their individual goals. It might be a Telltale game, but it still contains that same Borderlands humor that fans have grown to love.

Mario Party 10 – Wii U – March 20

Mario Party comes to the Wii U, complete with amiibo support and the new Bowser mode which allows players to assume the role of the big baddie himself, and wreak havoc on other players.

We're currently playing through this game so make sure to check back next week for our final verdict.
