Australian DS Launch Details

Nintendo Australia Pty Limited has confirmed that the Nintendo DS will launch in Australia at $199.95 Australian dollars on February 24th, 2005.

Rose Lappin, Director of Sales and Marketing, Nintendo Australia commented, “With the astounding US and Japanese results we are excited to confirm when this amazing interactive entertainment system will become available to Australian consumers. At the end of February the Australian public will witness a redefining moment in interactive entertainment that will cement Nintendo as the major innovative force of this industry.”

Confirmed first party launch games will include Super Mario 64 DS, WarioWare: Touched!, and Pokémon Dash shortly soon after.

NAL has also confirmed that just like North America, Australia will get Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt demo bundled with launch units for a limited time.
